The AKBCWA would like to thank all speakers, panelists, AKBCWA members and guests for attending the Australia-Korea Hydrogen Futures Roundtable 2020.

AKBCWA, together with University of Western Australia Korea Research Centre, in collaboration with the City of Perth held a very special event the 'Australia-Korea Hydrogen Futures Roundtable 2020'. The event was held with welcome speeches by The Right Honourable, the Lord Mayor of Perth, Basil Zempilas, His Excellency James Choi, Australian Ambassador to the Republic of Korea, Honourable Alannah MacTiernan MLC, Minister for Minister for Regional Development; Agriculture and Food; Minister assisting the Minister for State Development, Jobs and Trade, Mr Chris Raciti Chairman, Australian Chamber of Commerce Korea. Following the welcome speeches, there were presentations and panel discussions and Q&A by Mr Shaun Gregory, the Executive Vice President Sustainability and Chief Technology Officer at Woodside Energy, Professor Craig Buckley Hydrogen Exports and Value Chains Program Lead, The Future Energy Exports Cooperative Research Centre (FEnEx CRC), Mr Luc Kox, Commercial Manager, Hazer Group Limited, Mr Stephen Rogers, Managing Director at Pearl Clean Energy and Dr Sung-Young Kim, Senior Lecturer in the Discipline of Politics & International Relations, Macquarie School of Social Sciences at Macquarie University, Sydney and Dr David Honey MLA BSc (Hons), PhD, CChem, FRACI Member for Cottesloe, Shadow Minister Industrial Development; Water; Lands; LA Opposition Policy Co-Ordinator. During the Q&A session, panellists received meaningful questions from audiences and had another constructive discussion between panels and audiences.

Almost 100 guests from the WA hydrogen industry, academia, government, civil sectors and participants via an online stream attended this special event. Given the success of the event the AKBCWA will continue to play a significant role to explore collaboration opportunities in hydrogen between the Western Australia - Korea to ensure the opportunities in trade, investment and research are maximised.
